When you arrive at Casablanca airport, we will greet you and drive you to Casablanca, then to Rabat, Morocco's capital. In Casablanca, you can visit the Hassan II Mosque, the world's largest mosque outside of Mecca, and enjoy the Cornish coast. After that, we'll travel to Rabat. Before checking into your riad in the Medina, visit the Hassan Tower and the Oudaya Kasbah. Staying at a riad for the night.
You will depart from your riad after breakfast and travel to Fes via Meknes and Volubilis. The famous gate Bab Mansour, the Sahrij Souani Bassin, and the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail can all be found in Meknes, another important imperial city in Morocco known as the Ismaili capital. After lunch, we travel to Volubilis, a Roman city where you will have the opportunity to see the beautifully preserved original mosaics, Roman road, and city layout. We will stop at the Holy City of Moulay Idriss for a photo opportunity as we travel through the Moroccan countryside. You'll arrive in Fes late in the afternoon and check into your Medina riad. Overnight stay in a riad (BB).
DAY 3: EXPLORING FES:
After breakfast in your riad, embark on an exploratory journey through the Medina, where you will see many hidden treasures that only the locals are aware of. Fes, Morocco's capital for more than 350 years, is home to the University of Al Karaouine, the world's oldest operating university. Your guided tour will take you to the Mausoleum of Moulay Idriss. We go to the Tanneries and the Nejjarine Fountains. After lunch, you'll see the outside of the Royal Palace and take a stroll through the Mellah, Morocco's famous Jewish quarter, where you'll have the opportunity to visit one of the country's few remaining synagogues. Your Fes tour includes a short visit to a famous ceramic factory, followed by a breathtaking panoramic view of the entire Medina of Fes. We'll go out for a drink in the afternoon in the new city. Your riad will be your home for the night (BB).
DAY 4: FES -
After breakfast in your riad, you will leave towards the southeast following the Caravan roads to Merzouga. During this journey you’ll experience glimpses of the Middle Atlas and Higher Atlas mountains. Stopping at the Cedar forest, the largest one in Morocco, over the Middle Atlas Mountains-
DAY 5: MERZOUGA AREA AND THE CAMEL TREK:
You will begin your exploration of the area after breakfast in the riad. You'll go to the Gnawa people, who were originally brought from Sudan as slaves, to learn about their culture and music. You can also go to the souk in Rissani, a traditional town that was the birthplace of Morocco's ruling family and the meeting point for caravans trading all the way to Tombuctou in Mali. There are a lot of hooded men and veiled women here. Return to Merzouga village for some rest before mounting your camel and exploring the Merzouga sand-
DAY 6 : MERZOUGA -
Early in the morning, your camel guide will wake you up to watch what well may be the best sunrise in you life. You will trek back to the village of Merzouga. Enroute you couldn’t fail to appreciate the unique beauty of the spectacular Erg Chebbi sand dunes -
DAY 7 : DADES VALLEY -
We'll drive through the Dades Valley to Kalaat M'Gouna and Ouarzazat after breakfast. The route through Dades Valley is known as the "Kasbah Road," and it offers numerous opportunities to capture some of your best photographic moments of the trip. We'll make a pit stop in Kalaat M'Gouna, "the rose city," to buy rosewater, which will keep your linen smelling fresh long after your trip is over. Continue to Marrakech via the Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou. The Kasbah, which was built by Et Hami El Glaoui, one of the last Berber chieftains in the 18th century, is now the home of many Glaoui people. Your journey will continue through the High Atlas Mountains' majestic Tizi n'Tichka Pass (2260 m), before arriving at your accommodation in Marrakech, where you will spend the night in a riad in the medina (BB).
DAY 8 : EXPLORING MARRAKECH:
After breakfast in the riad, you will enjoy a morning guided tour of Marrakech "the Red City of Morocco”. Your guide will ensure that you see all the sites with historical and cultural interest, including the Koutoubia Minaret; the Saadian tombs; the beautiful Palace of Bahia and the Ben Youssef Coranic School. Finally, end the morning by walking through the medina alleys -
